Press Releases
I wrote and distributed this press release for Symmetry Financial Group after they were listed as one of America’s fastest-growing companies by Inc. 5000.
I wrote and distributed this press release for Epic Notion to announce their winning of multiple awards in a handful of creative communications competitions.
Other Writing Samples
I worked alongside an art director to develop the concept for this fabricated B2B ad campaign for a new business pitch. I was the lead copywriter for this project.
I created multiple specific word-count (100, 75, 50, 25, 20) descriptions for use in Graham County’s print and digital material/advertisements to promote tourism in the area.
I co-wrote this Tourism Development Authority’s pitch sheet with Mary Anne Baker during my internship with Innsights Internet Marketing. The Graham County TDA used this document in various promotional outlets.
Ad Design
I was the head copywriter for this client magazine spread campaign pitch. I worked closely with a senior art director to design a cohesive ad campaign for each of their chemical food ingredient and bio-based technology solutions.
The purpose of this group project for my advertising management class was to plan an advertising campaign for a discontinued or failed product. My team chose Oreo O’s cereal as our “client.” (Fun fact: the product was discontinued in the early 2000s, however, it is still manufactured and sold in South Korea).
I designed the magazine, social media and billboard advertisements for our campaign. I wanted the ads to look like something the Oreo brand would actually use, so, I took a minimalist design approach since Oreo’s ads tend to be very modern and “clean.”
The theme of this campaign was 90s nostalgia. Our slogan, “Crème to the Maximum,” played off of lyrics from Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It, a popular Will Smith song from the 90s. I developed our body copy, which reads “Milk’s favorite cereal is back.” Again, I wanted to stick with a minimalist Oreo-friendly approach but also further associate it with the cookie brand by incorporating a portion of their famous slogan “Milk’s favorite cookie.”
